Community-based ICF/IID group homes are provided with direct care services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week in a supervised, home-like setting. These homes provide living arrangements in Morton, Meridian, Brandon, Pearl, Louisville, Kilmichael, and Kosciusko and serve individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Professional staff including nurses, academic teachers, social workers, and vocational training instructors assists each individual in reaching his or her maximum potential. A person centered plan is developed with the individual, his/her family, and staff members to determine goals and objectives the individual should work on and meet throughout the year. Individuals are offered a range of opportunities to gain independence in areas of daily living and community involvement. All individuals receive employment services in work activity centers or supported employment sites.
