Hudspeth Regional Center provide services delegated primarily to people with severe and profound intellectual and developmental disabilities who are six (6) years or older and reside within the Center’s 22 designated counties in Central Mississippi. Hudspeth Regional Center also operates community based programs throughout its service area for intellectual and developmentally disabled people regardless of functioning level.
The admission procedure is initiated upon receipt of a Department of Mental Health Application for Services. At this point, information from previous placements/school records/appropriate medical records is requested in order to schedule an evaluation through The Diagnostic Services Department. When the evaluation has been completed, Hudspeth Regional Center’s Administrative Screening Review Committee determines the most appropriate services for the applicant. If the person is appropriate for services offered by Hudspeth Regional Center, his/her name is placed on the appropriate planning list until services become available. Please contact the Diagnostics Services department at (601) 664-6130 for any questions regarding admissions and services.
